The stadium is empty, and everyone is filing to their cars, to get onto one of the three single lane(!) roads that leave this town. Oregon doesn't have a lot of freeways...or even much in the way of multi-laned, divided highways. Corvallis being a bit out of the way, from the Interstate, it took a 15 mile drive on a single lane (each way) highway to get there. And when 40,000 people are all trying to leave on such narrow roads...well, let's just say it takes a while.
